Who Am I?

Kristi offers CranioSacral Therapy, Jikiden Reiki and a sweet and deep fusion of the two modalities woven together.  She applies hands-on healing techniques, listening deeply to sensations and allowing her to be guided by the cells of each recipient. Kristi is keen to hear each person’s holistic health goal and to design a treatment flow to enable greater ease, relaxation, expansion and peace.  Her grounded, empathetic presence invites healing release on the table or during a guided yoga Nidra meditation. Each session Kristi facilitates is a heart-driven meditation and offering to one in need of a gentle reminder of their innate capacity to heal through connection with nature’s pure energy.

As a child, Kristi was surrounded by animals, most healthy, but many ill and brought to her parent’s veterinary clinic or farm where she witnessed the animals receive medical care and get well.  Overwhelmed by the intensity of her family’s career in healthcare, she followed her soul path into the creative arts before ultimately returning to the healing arts.  Born with a passion to solve problems creatively, she dedicated her energy to hundreds of design projects at Arc’teryx, an innovation brand that did things differently, intentionally, innovatively and with an attention to detail.  As an apprentice designer, she collaborated with colleagues and mentors applying sacred geometry to style and pattern functional garments. When invited, she channelled colour inspiration, selected soulful colour standards, created harmonious merchandising and built a team that transformed the way outdoor gear is sold at retail. As a creative director for the brand, Kristi cultivated a brave space where creatives could express themselves, learn from their mistakes, evolve and shine bright.  She built a reputation as an influential colour designer but is most proud of her benevolent approach to cultivating a vibrant team focused on the creative process of building the brand. Prioritizing the corporate demands and timelines came at a cost to her wellbeing and after 17 years, it proved too difficult task to balance the tremendous workload and respond to her body’s cry for attention, rest and regulation.

Throughout her dream career as a designer, she suffered chronic Migraine attacks resulting in mental, emotional, physical disabilities and nervous system dysregulation. The debilitating attacks began in her early twenties and she sought relief from medical professionals. She found pharmaceutical treatments to abort the Migraine attacks, but not prevent them. Her healing journey began when she stopped simply looking to treat symptoms and started seeking the root cause of the dis-ease, understanding the dynamic function of body and learning the solutions for release, relaxation and regulation.  Her Osteopathic Practitioner empowered her with the concept of conscious awareness, and she was intrigued to learn more.  Kristi signed up with the Upledger Institute for CranioSacral Therapy Level 1 in 2005 and was introduced to her own ability to sense and connect with tissues.   Over two decades, she continued to receive bodywork bi-weekly, take workshops, trainings and attend retreats to learn the techniques to tune-in and find alignment and vitality.

Her search for wellbeing has been a truly transformative journey. Inspired by her experience of profound results from many modalities including Acupuncture, TCM, CranioSacral therapy, Osteopathy and guidance with Yoga, breathwork, meditation, acceptance and forgiveness, proper nourishment, bio-therapeutic drainage, spatial dynamics and Bowspring primal movement. Kristi has synthesized what’s she’s learned personally and professionally and is deeply grateful for all the nurturing support she’s received on her healing path. Now the knowledge is embodied and when she connects with another, she naturally and gently invites the release of pain, discomfort and imbalance with her compassionate attention.

Recently moving to Campbell River for her own fresh start, Kristi is loving the nature and the friendly, seaside vibe.  She is actively launching her healing arts business Align with Vitality, offering bodywork, Nidra meditations, cottage garden bouquets and summer play workshops. Following the tides and the movement of the sun, moon and planets to plant and tend her garden, she stays grounded by growing herbs, flowers and vegetables and playing with her two kitties in the yard. She stays inspired by thrifting for fashion, home furnishings and creating colour harmony with outfits, feng shui and photographic compositions. You can find her recreating herself by drumming and dancing to groovy music, beachcombing, making things, reclining in the sun or playing tennis, slo-pitch or frisbee with friends!
