Who Am I?

Kelsey holds a Doctorate of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a Board Certified Acupuncturist & TCM Herbalist. She completed her internship in Taiwan at the Tzu Chi Buddhist Hospital.

At the hospital, she was exposed to Chinese Medicine in its rawest form and treated many different ailments including shingles, stroke, gynecological issues, scoliosis, chronic pain, and more.

As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kelsey’s knowledge is rooted in natural healing therapies.  Chinese Medicine looks at the whole being.  It treats the root problem, not just the symptom.  Asian medicine has been around for over 5,000 years and Kelsey truly believes in its teachings.

Kelsey’s journey into alternative medicine was simply a calling.  From a young age, she remembers playing “doctor” with her younger siblings. Deep down Kelsey felt she has always known she was born to help people. It became especially clear to her when Kelsey she went to a wellness retreat in Nelson, BC to find herself and that is exactly what happened.  Through meditation, yoga and nutrition Kelsey received a sign to begin her education in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.

Kelsey’s career began at a fertility clinic in Vancouver, from where stems her passion for women’s health.  Since moving to the Island, Kelsey’s practice has shifted. While she will always have an interest in women’s health, Kelsey now enjoys working with a diverse array of ailments. In her practice, Kelsey incorporates various modalities such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, food therapy, and herbal prescriptions.

In her downtime, you can find Kelsey at the beach with her SUP.  Kelsey finds cooking utterly enjoyable and says that it fills her soul. Kelsey also enjoys camping other recreational outdoor activities: golfing, snowboarding, and biking.
