Marlyna has always had a sincere love and passion for the healing properties of food. This passion truly developed when she first lost a close family member due to cancer and then was diagnosed herself with an autoimmune condition that caused serious and life-changing symptoms. She decided to research into holistic alternatives that helped her to incorporate nutrition, yoga, meditation and exercise into her life.
Marlyna is now living a well-balanced, disease-free lifestyle. Still to this day, if you ask her, Marlyna will tell you that she is incredibly thankful to her illness, as she truly would not be on the same path that she is today. She continues on her journey and hopes to inspire others along the way!
After managing to treat her own illness, despite doctors telling her it was impossible, Marlyna became fascinated with the concept that simple lifestyle changes could help treat common illnesses. She decided to study nutritional therapy and dedicated herself to discovering foods that can help prevent or even heal illnesses.
Shortly after completing her Nutritional Therapy studies, Marlyna travelled to Rishikesh, India where she obtained her Yoga Alliance certification. During months spent in India, Marlyna spent countless hours learning how to meditate from devout spiritual leaders. She then continued on to become certified in personal training and eventually to manage a large gym.
In addition to nutrition, fitness and management background, Marlyna has worked for many years in pharmaceutical industry, doing research on effects of various medications. With her research and science background, Marlyna is constantly learning in-depth about health and disease.
Marlyna loves to travel and has been to over 30 different countries. She enjoys experiencing other cultures, meeting people and learning about traditional treatments that have been used for thousands of years to promote healing and good health. Marlyna adores attending cooking classes and learning about various different cuisines.
